Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare â€Å"Romeo and Juliet is a play about two lovers. This play is tragic; it ends in the deaths of both, Romeo and Juliet. The main reason for their deaths was that both sides of each other’s family disagreed and did not care for the lives of either Romeo or Juliet whatever relation they were to them. For a long time in the story Romeo and Juliet kept other peoples thoughts out of their relationship, but they could not keep their family’s feelings out of their lives forever, and they soon caught up with them; but who or what was most to blame? ====================================================================== Lord and Lady Capulet are the parents of Juliet.†¦show more content†¦Ã¢â‚¬Å"My fingers itch† (Act 3 Scene 5). Lord and Lady Capulet never got to know their own daughter as well as they should. They thought of her as an object that will give them more respect throughout Verona, because of this they did not respect Juliet’s views as much as they should have, this is one of the main reasons Juliet went on to kill herself. There are points in the play where the reader would feel that Lord and Lady Capulet are arranging this marriage for Juliet’s best interests. Friar Lawrence is one of the most active characters in the play. Throughout the play he has done many things to ‘fuel the fire’. Friar Lawrence is close to Romeo, the first time he comes into the play is when Romeo goes’ to confess his sins, this is when Friar agrees to marry Romeo and Juliet. This was his first big mistake. He should have known that the marriage would not solve the hatred between the two households. He should have more common sense; after all he did try to tell Romeo that he just a day ago was in love with Rosaline. â€Å"Holy Saint Francis, what a change is here!
